The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park has teamed up with licensed marriage and family therapist John DeRoy to offer free parenting classes at the Miller Y beginning February 24.

The 50 high school members of the Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park’s Youth & Government delegation recently made over 300 sack lunches that were then delivered to a homeless shelter.

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA and its four branches serving communities in eastern Ventura County, Westlake Village and Agoura Hills are kicking off their annual fundraising efforts in February.

Early signups are being taken for the Conejo Valley YMCA’s Camp Sequoia Lake. The camp takes place August 1 through 8.

New donors are coming forward to help make the 18-acre Westlake Village Regional Family Park and Triunfo YMCA a reality.

The Triunfo YMCA was busy this holiday season providing food and gifts for the needy in the community.

The Conejo Valley YMCA and Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park are offering a free four-week series, “Healthy Mindful Living,” that will teach techniques to reduce stress, enhance attention and peace of mind and improve self-awareness.

Additional donors have come forward to contribute to the development of the new Westlake Village Regional Family Park and Triunfo YMCA. The first phase of the park is scheduled to open in spring 2015 with the Y on schedule to open in fall 2015.

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Oak Park and Agoura Hills, will host its annual holiday camp.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA is selling Christmas trees beginning December 4.
