Leaders of tomorrow can get their start today by joining the Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park's Youth & Government program. A free information/kick-off barbeque will be held Sunday, September 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the Miller Y.

Parents of Moorpark students in kindergarten through sixth grades can sign up their children for Conejo Valley YMCA after school child care. The child care programs take place on Moorpark campuses.

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Agoura Hills, Oak Park and Westlake Village, will kick off its Youth & Government leadership program for teens with a Thursday, September 13 barbeque.

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Oak Park and Agoura Hills, is registering students in kindergarten through fifth grade for childcare programs at four area schools for the 2012-13 school year.

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Oak Park and Agoura Hills, will hold a free family barbeque on Saturday, September 8.

The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park is accepting enrollments for its licensed preschool and Fall afterschool childcare programs. A preschool open house for parents and kids will be held August 9 at 6:30 p.m.

On July 27, a new monument sign will be dedicated at the Conejo Valley YMCA honoring the community for its long-time support and the Joel McCrea family for donating 35 acres of land on which the Y currently serves children, families and seniors.

Parents still have time to sign up their children for summer swim lessons at the Conejo Valley YMCA. Sessions run through August 23. Junior lifeguard training is also available.

The Conejo Valley YMCA is hosting a weeklong camp at Sequoia Lake for kids entering grades fourth through 12. An information night for will be held Friday July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Conejo Valley Y. Camp dates are August 4 through 11.

Parents still have time to sign up their children for summer swim lessons through the Triunfo YMCA. All swim programs take place at the Agoura High School pool (28545 W. Driver Ave., Agoura Hills).
