The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park is accepting enrollment for its Fall afterschool childcare program for students in grades one through eighth. The program begins August 29 and takes place at the Miller Y in Dos Vientos.

Families will be able to participate in a variety of free outdoor activities, games and crafts during the Simi Valley Family YMCA "Healthy Kids Day," Saturday, May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the Simi Valley Street Fair.

The Simi Valley Family YMCA will begin enrolling students for summer swim lessons on May 7. The Y offers five swim sessions during the summer with the first session beginning June 18. Classes take place in the Simi Y's heated indoor swimming pool.

Triunfo YMCA is taking signups for summer swim lessons, junior lifeguard training and swim team members. All swim programs take place at the Agoura High School pool (28545 W. Driver Ave., Agoura Hills).

Bob Brooks, retired Ventura County Sheriff, is the keynote speaker for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA's 13th Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast on May 3 at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

The Conejo Valley YMCA and Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park are celebrating YMCA Healthy Kids Day, Saturday, April 28. The annual event is designed to bring attention to healthy lifestyle choices for children and families.

Vibrant Woman, a free women's conference, will be held Saturday, May 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Thousand Oaks Library. The conference will focus on women's health; specifically cancer prevention, supplements, skincare, food and fitness.

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Agoura and Oak Park, is taking summer programs sign ups online and in person after the Y's March 17 summer camp sign up day was rained out.

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA and its four branches raised $266,619 during it annual Strong Kids fundraising campaign.

The YMCAs serving eastern Ventura County, Westlake Village, Oak Park and Agoura Hills are now registering campers for their summer resident camps taking place throughout California.
